After this life-altering experience, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery and self-care. I taught myself how to braid and experimented with wigs to manage my appearance. Eventually, I even pursued a career as a hair stylist, helping others nurture their hair while silently longing for my own to grow back.
The struggle to regrow my edges persisted. I couldn't help but feel uneasy about having to rely on wigs and avoid certain hairstyles. It seemed that no matter what I tried, my edges would grow to a certain point and then recede again, partly due to the constant need to cover them up.
In 2020, I decided to make it my mission to care for my hair by creating my own hair products. My goal was to see how long I could grow my hair and, especially, my edges. Through extensive research and experimentation, I formulated products that became staples in my hair care routine. These products not only grew my hair but also helped restore my lost edges.
